Students can be elected or nominated as Subject Ambassadors for an area of learning that they feel strongly about.
In this role, they work with subject departments to improve all aspects of teaching and learning in the school. They meet regularly, usually with the Head of Department, providing feedback, research, fresh ideas, student perspectives and monitor progress that is made.
Subject Ambassadors have advised on schemes of work, helped remove barriers to learning, presented to the Leadership Team, worked with primary schools, organised themed days, developed displays and helped in the process to appoint new members of staff.
Subject Ambassadors hold their posts for one year, at the end of which, they can choose whether to continue or to change to a different subject.
