Anti-Bullying & Internet Safety
The Pingle Academy takes bullying very seriously and is proud of its anti-bullying work.
This is driven by the Anti-bullying committee, a group involving students, teachers, support staff, governors and members of the community. The group develops strategies and monitors their progress.
Learning about how to prevent bullying occurs via PSHE lessons in all year groups, form time, assemblies, theatre groups and anti-bullying week.
Students can help to stop bullying by reporting it to any member of school staff.
We have been awarded a Derbyshire County Council’s Award of excellence for our anti-bullying work, whilst parent/carer and student surveys show that we have made significant improvements to how we deal with bullying.
If parents, carers or students have an issue with bullying they can report it here.
