Welcome to The Pingle School

Welcome to The Pingle School

Welcome to our website, which aims to give you a flavour of our caring and inclusive school community.

Students join us from a range of primary schools at 11 years old and the majority remain with us until they have completed their     A levels.  We also welcome applications from students moving into the area during the course of the academic year or into the Sixth Form and have a comprehensive induction programme to enable new starters to settle in quickly.

We have a strong team of well qualified and committed teachers.   We aim to give every student a flying start in English and Mathematics and have intervention programmes for students of all ages who need to accelerate their progress.   The percentage of students making 3 or 4 levels of progress in English and Mathematics has risen during the last three years. Students joining us as High Prior Attainers become members of our Pingle Plus group and are challenged in their learning to reach the highest academic standards.  We also have excellent support for students with Special Educational Needs and disabilities.

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum at KS3 and have an excellent range of option choices at GCSE and  A Level.  Careers information advice and guidance is strong.

You will see from the photo galleries on our website and by reading our newsletters that students have an enormous amount of opportunities to get involved in visits and  extra-curricular activities.  These are very important for character development and also valuable in terms of giving every single student the chance to shine and be the best that they can be.

Our school is a happy school, which serves our community well and is going from strength to strength.  Come and see for yourself.  Visits to the school are always welcomed.  We will be proud to show you our school and our students’ achievements.
